One of my clients asked me to help him to go to Kiev. Train Kiev - Kherson did not suit him, because it starts in evening (20.36) and arrives next day on morning. But my client needs be in Kiev in evening of same day.
On Internet I found some buses from Kiev to Kherson, but there are additional summer buses.
On bus station of Kherson we learned time table of buses from Kherson to Kiev.
1) 10.50 bus starts from Kherson and arrives to Kiev at 20.40;
2) 20.40 bus starts from Kherson and arrives to Kiev about 8.00;
Ticket costs about 140 ua grivnas.
You will need buy ticket on bus station in office of “Gyunsel” company (their logo above). This company has comfortable buses “Man” with their logo onboard.

There is only one regular train from Kiev to Kherson.
101/102 - it starts from Kiev at 21:44 and arrives to Kherson railway station at 10:15.
If you will need to go from Kherson to Kiev - it starts from Kherson at 20:36 and arrives to Kiev at 07:39.
This service shows other trains from Kiev to Kherson, but they are only summer trains.
Here aproximate prices for tickets from Kiev to Kherson:
1st class sleeping car (has sleeping places for 2 persons, in russian pronouncing like “spal’nyi wagon”) - 330 ua grivnas;
2nd class (has sleeping places for 4 persons) [in russian pronouncing like “coupe”] - about 100 grivnas
3rd class (has sleeping places for 6 persons) [in russian pronouncing like “platzkart” or “platzkartnyi wagon”] - about 70 grivnas.
P.S. But if you dont have any time for waiting a train or would like to go from Kiev to Kherson as soon as possible, we can transfer you from Kiev to Kherson by comfortable car with a professional driver.
If you want to fly to Kherson - you will need fly from Borispol (KBP) to Odessa (ODS) airport, because Kherson airport doesnt work. According to Aerosvit (http://aerosvit.com) aircompany, flight will take about 1 hours and 20 minutes. (See also a website of Ukrainian International airlines http://www.flyuia.com, it offers flights Borispol-Odessa too).
Taxi from Odessa airport to Kherson will take you in 3-3,5 hours. It depends on traffic, weather and problems on Nikolaev bridge. Our service to take you directly to your apartment or hotel in Kherson.
If you dont want to pay for taxi from Odessa to Kherson - take taxi to Odessa bus station (it will costs about 100 grivnas) or take a bus from airport to bus station.
Bus Odessa-Kherson (or minibus - marshrutka) costs 50-60 grivnas. If you have alot of luggage take the regular bus. It is slow but it has luggage spaces.
Marshrutka (minibus) more fast, but usually it doesn’t have luggage space. You will kill alot of time, but you will arrive to Kherson after 6-7 hours. Bus or minibus will take you to Kherson bus station where you will take taxi to your hotel or apartment in Kherson.
